Furness Vale Primary School is part of a Formal Collaboration with other Primary and Nursery Schools and Secondary school in the New Mills area. This group is known as the Peak Edge Group of Schools. The group works closely together to achieve better outcomes for those in the group and has the following in place:
- Memorandum of Understanding
- Structural Organisation
- Regular meetings for all stakeholders (senior leaders, teaching staff, admin staff and governors)
- Strengths and Areas for Development for all schools involved

PEGS is extremely effective in delivering better outcomes for all through close collaboration and has been praised by DCC as a superb example of how schools should be working in partnership.
